Charging that fits around your day
Charge next door
Find a charger a few streets away instead of a detour to a crowded station.
Cheaper than public fast charging
Public fast chargers in India typically cost ₹18–25 per kWh. Hosts price close to home electricity tariffs.
Zero new hardware for hosts
List the wallbox or 15A socket you already have. There's nothing new to buy or install.
How it works
Four steps to charge. Three to host.
For drivers
- 1
Request
Find a charger nearby that works with your vehicle. See the price, the power and roughly how far it is, then send a free request.
- 2
Host accepts
The host confirms within 5 minutes that they're home and the charger is free. You pay nothing until they do.
- 3
Unlock
Pay a small booking fee to get the exact location, a masked call and chat. It's refunded automatically if the host doesn't show or the charger isn't working.
- 4
Charge
Plug in, pay for the session by UPI and follow the timer. Rate the host when you're done.
For hosts
- 1
List in 5 minutes
Add your wallbox or 15A socket, a few photos and a short safety checklist. No new hardware.
- 2
Set availability
Switch between Available, Busy, Away and Under repair, or set a weekly schedule. You accept every request yourself.
- 3
Get paid
Set your price per kWh and get paid to your bank account. At launch you keep 100% of the charging price.
Trust and safety
Safe for hosts. Safe for drivers.
Opening your gate to someone new takes trust, so these protections are part of Arker from day one.
KYC-verified hosts
Every host verifies their identity and bank account. Sockets pass a safety checklist (RCCB, earthing, dedicated MCB) before they go live.
Address hidden until booking
Drivers see an approximate area of about 400 m. The exact pin appears only after the host accepts and the booking fee is paid, and only for that booking.
Masked calls
Calls go through a temporary number, so neither side sees the other's phone number. In-app chat has quick replies in your language.
Ratings both ways
Drivers rate hosts and hosts rate drivers after every session, so reliable people rise to the top.
Solar hours
Charge when the sun is up
India's 2024 EV charging guidelines call for cheaper EV tariffs between 9 am and 4 pm. On Arker, hosts can offer a solar-hours discount and drivers can filter for it.
Rooftop solar at home?
List as a rooftop-solar host. Your listing gets a badge, so drivers know their kilometres come from sunshine.
